Assessment session

This session will be face-to-face and will last for an hour. We will think together about what brings you both to therapy and what your hopes are for attending therapy together. I am likely to ask you a bit about how your relationship has been over time, and about your different experiences of family.  I will also ask you about any recent and past life experiences which may be impacting on your relationship at this time.

Initial Consultation

I offer a short initial online consultation session, usually for about 15 minutes. This is a chance for us to briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy to ensure that I will be able to support you appropriately, as well as an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you might have about the process of therapy. This session is free of charge.

Regular Sessions

If through the assessment you decide that you would like to go ahead with therapy, we will then meet together either on a weekly or fortnightly basis. We will regularly review progress together to ensure that we are talking about the right things, that therapy is helping you to move towards your goals, and that therapy can come to an end in an appropriate and timely manner. The number of sessions will depend on the complexity of what you bring to sessions and what it is that you want to work on together.

You are responsible for paying the session fee promptly following each session, payments can be by cash or BACs.

I will seek to give you clear notice of any time that I may be taking off as holiday, this will generally fall during school holiday periods. Equally it helps my planning to know as far in advance as possible when you will have time away from therapy.
