THERAPY FOR CHANGE DEVON
About Me
Jenny Cove
My approach to couples work is systemic – meaning that I focus on the patterns that develop between people and my interventions seek to help them change these patterns.
What underpins all my work is a strong belief in love and humanity, which has allowed me to support people who have appeared to be incredibly stuck, to make significant and lasting changes in their relationships and in their lives
I have worked extensively within the voluntary sector and the NHS. I am the Clinical Lead on the Masters in Systemic Therapy programme at Exeter University. I also lead Systemic Therapy training on the Doctorate programme in Clinical Psychology.
As a mother and a step-mother I am particularly passionate about working with parents – or with couples who hope to become parents. By making positive changes in the couple relationship other aspects of family life will often feel happier too.
I also work with parents who are going through separation or who have already separated, to support them to work out how to have a different kind of relationship, co-operatively parenting apart.
I spend my free time outdoors with my family – swimming, walking or being by the sea.
